Inclusion at LBBIS
At LBBIS, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to thrive, learn, and feel valued. Our Inclusion Department is dedicated to supporting students with diverse learning needs, ensuring they receive the right care, attention, and resources to achieve their full potential. We work closely with families and teachers to create an environment where inclusion is not just practiced but truly embraced.
Every Child Belongs, Every Child Can Succeed
Inclusion at LBBIS is rooted in understanding, respect, and collaboration. We recognize that every student learns differently and bring unique strengths to the classroom. Our approach promotes equal access to learning opportunities, helping all students—regardless of ability—succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.
Professional Development
Our teachers and staff receive continuous training in inclusive education practices, classroom differentiation, and student wellbeing. This ensures that inclusion remains a living, evolving practice across all areas of school life.
Collaboration with Parents
We believe inclusion is a shared journey. Our team maintains open communication with parents through meetings, progress updates, and collaborative goal setting. Families are encouraged to share insights about their child’s learning needs to help us provide the most effective support possible.
Inclusion and Support for English Language Learners (ELL)
Inclusion is at the heart of our teaching philosophy. We believe that every student, regardless of background, ability, or learning need, has the right to access a high-quality education and achieve their full potential. Our inclusive approach ensures that lessons are carefully differentiated to meet individual needs, with targeted support, personalised strategies, and adaptive teaching methods used to ensure that all learners make meaningful progress.
For students who are learning English as an additional language (ELL), we provide specialised support to help them build confidence and achieve fluency while fully accessing the curriculum. ELL support includes language-focused intervention, vocabulary building, visual scaffolding, and additional communication practice woven into everyday learning. Our goal is to ensure that language development happens alongside academic growth, allowing students to participate actively and thrive in every area of school life.
Collaboration is key to our approach. Class teachers, inclusion specialists, and language support staff work closely together to monitor progress, adapt strategies, and celebrate every milestone. By removing barriers to learning and promoting equity, we ensure that every student is included, engaged, and challenged.
